On the Nieuwe Gracht in Delft's Spoorzone stand two buildings created by a single self-build group: Saffier and its neighbour Smaragd. The residents commissioned the buildings themselves, and Bureau Massa designed both.
What makes this group special is what the residents share: a communal living room, a gym, a workshop, a guest room and a laundry room, spread across both buildings. It's sustainable too, with ground-source heating and green roofs.
