In Rijswijk, in a park-like setting beside a large pond, NU Projectontwikkeling developed Buitenplaats Hofstede: a new, exclusive country estate with villas, woodland homes and a farmhouse ensemble. It stands on the site of the former Hofstede sauna, bowling and tennis complex.
At the heart of the estate is Het Landhuis (the manor house) by the pond, with luxury apartments. For its classic, symmetrical design, Zeinstra Veerbeek Architecten drew inspiration from the country estates in the area.
